Litigation

Litigation that calls upon the expertise of a planning consultant can arise in a number of ways. Often an opinion is required establishing whether professional advice given in a report or in recommending a particular course of action was inaccurate or negligent in that it has led to a Professional Indemnity Insurance claim.

Similarly an opinion might be required to conclude on a particular aspect of law and practice upon which parties contesting an action take differing views. In divorce cases, settlement proceedings sometimes require an appraisal of the potential for an enhanced development value of a particular site held by one or both of the parties.

Services available include ::

  • Expert opinion on the merits of professional indemnity claims;
  • Advice on legal or practice issues that feature as part of an action;
  • Court appearances when necessary;
  • Appraisals of development potential;

Note: Reports can be prepared to tight deadlines.
